Production Manager

Job Responsibility

- Perform all other tasks assigned by the line manager or company.

- Understand and strictly follow the company's rules, regulations, policies, instructions, and procedures to avoid unnecessary conflicts and achieve expected behavior and job performance.

- Have awareness of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 quality systems.

- Arrange and/or deliver proper training or coaching for subordinates to ensure they have the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform their jobs.

- Define and/or explain clear work procedures and instructions for subordinates and supervise them closely to ensure strict adherence.

- Set and explain clear competency and performance standards to subordinates, evaluate them based on actual performance, and provide constructive feedback when necessary (e.g., when a task is rated as "Improvement Needed" or "Unsatisfactory").

- Responsible for overall production and achieving the set targets.

- Responsible for the competitiveness of production, cost savings, and resource planning.

- Responsible for developing and implementing strategies and action plans.

- Responsible for resource recruitment within the area of responsibility.

- Ensure good cooperation between the department, other SER departments, and Valmet Paper units and functions.

- Responsible for occupational safety within the area of responsibility.

Job Requirement

- Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering.

- At least 3-5 years of experience in production functions and more than 3-5 years of managerial experience. Experience in roll production and management is preferred.

- Outstanding skills in multi-task management, presentation, and facilitation.

- Strong commitment to problem resolution, confidentiality, and team building.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work, communicate, and collaborate within a developing organization.

- Proficiency with ERP systems, as well as MS software and database management systems.

- Native Chinese speaker with proficiency in both written and spoken English.

- Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
