Puritas (Pvt) Ltd is a member of world of Hayley’s and fully owned subsidiary of Haycarb PLC, an environmental engineering company specialized in Water and Wastewater Purification, Manufacturing of Value-added activated carbon products. Puritas is the leader in providing water and wastewater treatment solutions in Sri Lanka and Maldives. We have built over 400 treatment plants across Sri Lanka, Maldives, Thailand, Indonesia and Myanmar. The company is engaged in provision of custom designed water and wastewater purification systems, community and municipal scale water supply and sewerage projects, water and wastewater consultation and customized operation and maintenance contracts in the same capacity.   

We are seeking a skilled MEP Engineer to design, estimate, and coordinate MEP systems for infrastructure projects. The role focuses on ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective solutions across project phases.

Position: MEP Engineer - Contractual

Locations: Puritas - Based at Project Site

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems tailored to project requirements.

• Review architectural and engineering plans to ensure effective MEP integration.

• Perform load calculations and select suitable systems and equipment.

• Prepare accurate estimations, technical drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools.

• Ensure all designs comply with local/international codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards.

• Support installation, commissioning, and operational troubleshooting of MEP systems.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to align design, timelines, and budget.

• Oversee testing and inspection of completed systems to verify performance and compliance.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in MEP system design, estimation, and project execution.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM platforms.

• Sound knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems.

• Strong analytical and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within deadlines.

• Experience leading subcontractors or internal MEP project teams is an added advantage.
