The Resident Attendant is a critical role within our communities as it impacts the lives of residents and ignites the warmth of human connection.

This is a Permanent Part-Time position with 52.5 hours biweekly.

Schedule Rotation:

Week 1:

Tuesday 3pm-11pm
Wednesday 3pm-11pm
Thursday 3pm-11pm

Week 2:

Tuesday 3pm-11pm
Wednesday 3pm-11pm
Thursday 3pm-11pm
Sunday 4pm-12pm

As a Resident Attendant, your typical day will impact the following ways:

Answers all resident call bells and door alarms promptly and provides courteous service.
Completes all aspects of resident care as outlined in the plan of care and care assignment.
Transports residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office and dining room as required.
Completes laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments.
Deals tactfully and courteously with residents, residents' families and reports any concerns / complaints to the team leader.
Practices safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food preparation and service.
Performing other duties as assigned.

Must haves:

Minimum of six months of experience in a similar role.
Basic or Standard First Aid
Certification in Personal Support Worker or Personal Care Worker, or a 16 hour course that covers the provision of personal care and that is recognized by the department. If you don't have this, you must be willing to complete this course within 3 months of start date.
Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
