The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Analytics Engineer to join our Group Analytics team. In this role, you’ll lead data initiatives across Gaming, Food & Beverage, Hotels, Conferences, and Customer departments — spanning our Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth properties.

You’ll work within the Google Cloud Platform to design and execute data strategies, build scalable models, and deliver real-time insights that drive smarter decision-making. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on collaboration, innovation, and commercial impact.

You will be responsible for:

Partnering with business units to identify key data sources and define requirements for consumption and analysis.
Designing and implementing data models that support efficient storage, retrieval, and activation for analytics and business intelligence.
Developing and deploying advanced data science models to support forecasting, prediction, and alerting.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into actionable insights.
Supporting strategic initiatives across Gaming product, Play Safe (Responsible Gaming), Financial Crimes (AML), and other business areas.
Ensuring data integrity through rigorous testing, validation, and continuous improvement.
Staying ahead of industry trends to enhance Crown’s data capabilities and drive innovation.

About You

You’re a technically skilled and commercially minded analyst who thrives in a fast-paced, data-rich environment. You enjoy solving complex problems, building scalable solutions, and influencing business outcomes through data.

You will also bring:

Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
Experience working with cloud-based platforms and big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Spark is a plus).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and present insights clearly.
