The Supplier Governance Manager is responsible for supporting the Senior Manager, Supplier Governance with the oversight of our supplier relationships and ensure that all contracts meet Rest standards for compliance, performance, and sustainability. The Supplier Governance Manager will be responsible for supporting the business to comply with Rest’s service provider management policies and associated frameworks, ensuring vendor compliance with contractual obligations, and driving continuous improvement in supplier performance. You will support the Senior Manager, Supplier Governance to deliver continuous improvement across the supplier governance processes at Rest.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Implement the service provider management policies and associated frameworks to ensure effective management of all supplier relationships.
- Monitor and report on supplier compliance with contractual obligations.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support the resolution of any contractual compliance issues.
- Conduct regular supplier audits to assess risks, compliance, and performance relative to contracted.
- Facilitate and support the business vendor managers with supplier risk assessments, developing strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to streamline supplier onboarding, due diligence, and offboarding processes.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, working with suppliers to enhance quality, efficiency, and innovation.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and regulations affecting supplier governance.
- Support the Senior Manager, Supplier Governance with other business projects/initiatives from time to time.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business, supply chain management, or related field required.
Required experience, understanding or credentials including:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supplier management, or supply chain governance roles.
- Proven track record of managing complex supplier relationships and improving supplier performance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, compliance requirements, and best practices in supplier governance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment, be successful in a facilitative role and create a positive and professional business relationship with internal stakeholders and external third-party service providers
- Proven experience in implementing and managing vendor sourcing and governance frameworks.
- Understanding of risk management and compliance frameworks – including upcoming prudential standards, eg.CPS230
- Experience in managing multiple projects, and prioritising competing deadlines
