Intake Supervisor

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Supervise and facilitate intake, admissions and utilization review process for incoming patients.

· Plan, assign, supervise and evaluate activities performed by members of the admissions team.

· Develop, implement and monitor improvement initiatives to enhance/streamline current processes and procedures.

· Supervise the training of all new admissions specialists.

· Implement new patient access systems and processes for the facility.

· Train all direct and indirect staff engaged in daily patient access functions.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

· Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor's Degree required

· Two plus years’ experience in healthcare admissions role, with one year previous supervisory experience.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

· CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
