Regulatory Compliance Specialist – Rivers Casino Pittsburgh

Position Summary:
As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will ensure that Rivers Casino Pittsburgh operates in full adherence to Federal and State regulations. This role involves conducting compliance audits, reviewing filings, analyzing transactional data, and collaborating with operational leadership to ensure the company meets regulatory requirements. You will also prepare mandatory filings for regulatory agencies and communicate findings to management.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform independent compliance audits to ensure adherence to Federal and State regulations.
  • Review and report on Title 31 filings.
  • Analyze transactional data to identify trends.
  • Develop and review compliance audit programs, work papers, and procedural updates; report findings and provide recommendations to management.
  • Identify risks and control weaknesses, document control points, and provide support for audit recommendations.
  • Communicate findings to operational leadership and ensure resolutions.
  • Assist in preparing communications for management, auditors, and regulators.
  • Maintain contact with the operations team to clarify data and ensure accurate incident report reviews.
  • Perform special analysis to ensure proper transactional reporting.
  • Prepare mandatory filings for regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure work meets audit trail standards for accurate re-performance.
  • Reconcile and verify documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Keep supervisors informed of any routine or non-routine issues.
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal customers by addressing inquiries promptly.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Title 31/Anti-Money Laundering regulations, gaming audits, and casino operations.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of auditing procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to identify problem areas based on presented information.
  • Able to follow written, verbal, or diagram instructions.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and view computer screens.
  • Must be able to perform desk-related physical tasks such as bending, reaching, kneeling, and twisting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with team members and guests
  • Willingness to travel and participate in required training.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including holidays.

Certifications:

  • Must be able to obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming License.  Rivers Casino will assist in the application process and pays the fee associated with this license.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting
