Marketing Automation Developer
Position Summary
The Marketing Automation Developer will build and optimize marketing automation workflows and integrate MarTech platforms. You'll use JavaScript/Node.js and Python expertise to create seamless integrations and data pipelines, with a focus on analytics and optimization. Join a small, agile team where your technical contributions directly impact growth metrics. You'll report to the Operations Manager and collaborate closely with our Marketing Managers and Customer Support Leadership. This is a hands-on role in a startup where cross-functional partnership is essential. This position is the technical foundation that enables our marketing team to scale exponentially while maintaining personalized customer experiences. By building automated workflows and seamless integrations between our MarTech stack, you'll eliminate bottlenecks and transform data silos into unified intelligence that drives growth. Your work directly impacts our ability to move quickly, reduce costs, and make data-driven decisions that drive revenue growth.
Core Responsibilities
Technical Implementation (Primary Focus - 60%)
- Build automated workflows in Iterable for cross-channel campaigns and personalization
- Create and configure Intercom automations for conversational marketing and bot development
- Integrate CDP with platforms and configure to meet team’s requirements
- Create JavaScript/Node.js API integrations to eliminate data silos
- Develop Python scripts for workflow automation and data processing
Analytics & Optimization (Secondary Focus - 30%)
- Design A/B testing frameworks with statistical validation
- Analyze growth metrics (CAC, LTV, conversion rates) using SQL
- Create automated reporting dashboards
- Build customer segmentation strategies
Documentation & Process (10%)
- Document technical workflows and integration processes
- Maintain version control and deployment standards
Key Projects You'll Own
- Multi-channel campaign automation setup
- CDP integration and data flow optimization
- Support workflow automation
- Executive growth dashboard creation
- MarTech stack integration audit
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years MarTech platform experience (Iterable, Braze, or similar)
- JavaScript/Node.js proficiency for API integrations
- Python automation scripting experience
- SQL expertise for data analysis
- CDP experience (Segment, Rudderstack, mParticle, etc.)
- HTML/CSS for email templates
Preferred Qualifications
- Twilio/communication APIs experience
- E-commerce/SaaS background
- AI/ML MarTech integration knowledge
This is a fully remote position. Must be willing to work some overlap between EST. English is our global team’s common language, so strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
