Job Description

1. Assist in providing community services by performing liaison functions between the agency and residents.
2. Connect resident with interpretation services in accordance with the agencies Language Assistance Service Policy.
3. Help clients fill out and submit forms.
4. Assist with intake procedures, resident follow-up, and hotel invoice retrievals.
5. Work to improve tenant-management relations in the New York City Housing Authority.
6. Conduct resident surveys and contact NYCHA residents to collect needed information related to resident’s need for relocation.
7. Assist in the direction of tenant meetings and other relocation related activities.
8. Interpret and discussed the Resident Relocation Services Department’s Standard Procedures with individual tenants, community leaders, and other community stakeholders.
9. Set up and coordinates schedules of Relocation activities.
10. Distribute informational material to residents and internal/external stakeholders doing business with the Housing Authority, as necessary.
11. Perform routine office tasks, such as data-entry, filing, keeping records (physical and digital), answer telephone and make referrals or take messages.

Qualification Requirements
1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
