Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated Captain to join our Aviation team. This position reports directly to the Chief Pilot and is integral to ensuring the safe, efficient, and professional transport of Crest employees and clients. The successful candidate will serve as a Pilot in Command (PIC), uphold the highest aviation standards, and act as a culture and safety ambassador for Crest Industries.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Captain at Crest Industries, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional operation of company aircraft while embodying the values and culture of the organization. Your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following: Flight OperationsConduct comprehensive flight planning and preparation, including weather analysis, routing, and performance considerationsFile and manage flight plans in accordance with FAA and company protocolsEnsure full compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), internal SOPs, and safety proceduresConduct pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight inspections and documentationOperate aircraft systems including Satcom Direct, navigation, and communication equipmentMaintain flight proficiency, knowledge of normal and emergency procedures, and CRM standards Passenger and Crew ManagementRepresent Crest Industries with professionalism and discretion to all passengers and crewBrief passengers on flight details and safety protocolsProvide strong leadership to fellow crew members and foster a respectful, team-based environment Aircraft Oversight & CoordinationCoordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft readinessMaintain and submit accurate flight logs and reportsMonitor aircraft systems, fuel performance, and ensure all documentation is current Communications & CollaborationLiaise with air traffic control (ATC), dispatch, and ground support throughout operationsParticipate in safety reviews, operational debriefings, and department meetingsProvide on-call flexibility and availability for short-notice travel when required Safety, Compliance & Continuous ImprovementIdentify and proactively address potential safety risksStay current with aviation best practices, training, and regulatory changesSupport and model Crest’s high standards of compliance, continuous improvement, and leadership
Minimum QualificationsAirline Transport Pilot (ATP) CertificateMulti-Engine RatingMinimum 3,000 total flight hoursMinimum 1,000 hours in turbine jet aircraftValid Second-Class FAA Medical CertificateStrong knowledge of FAA regulations and safety proceduresExperience with Satcom Direct systemsClean FAA and MVR records — no accidents or violationsMust live within 1.5 hours of Pineville, Louisiana or be willing to relocateWillingness to travel overnight weekly and be available for some on-call operations
