Senior IT Engineer - Communications & Collaboration Section, Corporate IT Infrastructure Department (CITID)

Department Overview

The Corporate IT Infrastructure Department is looking for a Senior IT engineer with a focus on Microsoft 365 and Box, scripting and automation competencies, and AI integrations in order to improve the output of the team and increase system integrations. The role will be based in the Tokyo Headquarters location but will work with global teams.

Responsibilities include:

- Managing Microsoft 365, to include Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and other services

- Managing Box with workflows and system integrations

- Investigate AI system offerings with Copilot and Box and work on different AI integrations (MCP, A2A, connectors)

- Act as the final escalation point and senior consultant in matters both technical and help desk related

- Work together with other senior engineers on project work, including coordinating with other teams for effective end user communication

- Act as a role model in term of documentation quality and output

- Work as a team and be proactive in communication with users, other IT resources and the team itself

- Be flexible and adaptable to new challenges and willing to learn new technologies

Mandatory Qualifications:

Demonstrable experience and solid competency in the following areas:

- Active Directory Domain Services / Entra ID

- Microsoft Exchange (Both on premise and cloud)

- Office 365 & Azure

- PowerShell & Automation

- Box or other cloud-based file storage / sharing system

- Basic Network Concepts (Firewall, Load balancing, TCP/IP Ect)

- Good communication and writing skills and customer facing mindset

- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

- Ability to work independently and resolve issues with minimal supervision

- Have basic system security understanding with the knowledge in the following concepts: Multi-Factor Authentication, SSL and PKI

Desired Qualifications:

- 5+ years experience as a senior engineer in a global environment

- Multiple IT related certifications

- Experience with AI system integrations
