As a Lead Supply Chain Analyst, you will contribute to the team that is at the heart of Target’s supply chain strategy. Within the Capacity Planning & Utilization team, you will own the creation of capacity risk mitigation plans to support network growth while balancing volume in our nodes. You will work with stakeholders and senior leaders across the company in Finance, Stores and GSCL teams to enable capacity utilization plans. This role will help drive your career development through robust problem solving, sharpening your data analysis skills, and effectively communicating complex concepts in written and verbal form with all levels, including Sr. level leaders. 

Project, Process, and Program Management 

  • Lead supply chain initiatives to deliver improved financial performance 

  • Own a multi-year capacity risk mitigation plan solving for breakpoints in the network. Quantify impact of solves, create business cases, inform and influence stakeholders 

  • Influence senior leaders by providing accurate end to end data analysis and interpretation, with well-founded insights. Impact and influence key decisions throughout the project life cycle using cost- based analysis 

  • Establish timelines, milestones, communication, and deliverables. Identify roadblocks and communicate proactively to leadership and key stakeholders 

Data Analysis 

  • Gather and analyze supply chain data to understand the current state of Target’s supply chain 

  • Work cross-functionally with partners from: Finance, Stores, and GSCL teams to align planning inputs and develop volume/capacity plans 

  • Ensure accuracy of all planning inputs and outputs by implementing validation processes and reasonability checks 

  • Recommend changes and/or improvements in Target’s supply chain based on findings 

 

About You

  • B.S. in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Finance, Engineering, or other related fields or relevant experience 

  • Previous Supply Chain experience in either a HQ or Field capacity required 

  • At least 6 years of demonstrated experience collaborating across teams and building strong, cross-functional relationships 

  • Deep passion for problem solving, continuous learning and process improvement 

  • Can make decisions with little to no guidance from manager or other leaders 

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence senior leaders 

  • Problem solving and project management experience; advanced excel and PowerPoint skills  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. An ability to distill information into actionable, persuasive insights, and present to varying levels of leadership 

  • Ability to source and analyze data to create well-grounded business cases for use in multi-year planning process

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
