Job Description

Technical Program Management oversees and coordinates complex technical programs and projects. They ensure that these programs are executed efficiently, align with organizational goals, and deliver expected outcomes. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and exceptional management skills to drive large-scale technology initiatives from conception through implementation.

  • Program Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain program plans, schedules, and budgets. Manage the execution of multiple projects within the program, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate with stakeholders to define program scope, objectives, and deliverables. Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts.

  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the program. Develop and implement risk management strategies.

  • Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, developers, and other stakeholders. Facilitate collaboration and ensure team members are focused on program goals.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track program performance using key performance indicators (KPIs). Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that program deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve program management processes and methodologies.

  • Program Delivery: Timeliness and quality of program deliverables.

  • Budget Adherence: Accuracy in adhering to the program budget and cost management.

  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Feedback and satisfaction levels from stakeholders and clients.

  • Risk Mitigation: Effectiveness in identifying and mitigating risks.

  • Team Performance: Efficiency and productivity of the cross-functional teams involved.

  • Program Roadmaps: Detailed plans outlining the timelines, milestones, and resources required for the successful completion of the program.

  • Status Reports: Regular updates on program progress, including achievements, issues, and risks.

  • Risk Management Plans: Documentation of potential risks, their impact, and strategies for mitigation.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Clear and effective communication with stakeholders, including presentations and briefings.

  • Post-Implementation Reviews: Analysis and reporting on program outcomes, including lessons learned and recommendations for future programs.

  • Budget Management: Skills in budgeting and financial management for programs.

  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform decision-making.

  • Risk Management: Proficiency in identifying and managing risks.

Certification/License: 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM): Validates project management skills and knowledge.

  • Program Management Professional (PgMP): Demonstrates advanced program management skills.

  • Certified Agile Program Manager (CAPM): Expertise in Agile methodologies for program management.

  • ITIL Certification: Knowledge of IT service management best practices.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align program goals with organizational strategy.

  • Technical Acumen: Deep technical knowledge relevant to the program.

  • Organizational Skills: Proficiency in managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

  • Change Management: Ability to manage and drive change effectively within the organization.

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

Work Experience

  • Years of Experience: Typically 7-10 years in technical program management or related roles.

  • Relevant Experience: Experience managing large-scale technical programs, leading cross-functional teams, and working with senior stakeholders.

Level of Knowledge

  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the technology industry, including current trends and best practices.

  • Technical Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of technical systems, processes, and tools relevant to the program.

  • Management Knowledge: Expertise in program and project management methodologies, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
