Build your career and Australia’s future.

Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.

We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for a Senior Manager Employee Communications. This role will report to the General Manager, Employee Communications.

A bit about your role

As the Senior Manager Employee Communications, you will provide strategic communication guidance to senior leaders across the business, including members of the Executive Committee. Your work will be instrumental in helping employees understand and connect with nbn’s purpose, strategy and culture, particularly as we deliver on our 2030 strategy.

You will lead the development and execution of integrated communication plans that support critical initiatives and business priorities. This includes partnering across the organisation to ensure messaging is clear, aligned, and engaging. You will also play a key role in communication governance, ensuring accuracy, consistency and compliance in all internal communications.

A key focus of the role is championing the responsible use of AI tools to enhance communication effectiveness. You will guide the creation of high-quality content, coordinate approvals, and continuously evaluate impact to drive improvement. Your ability to influence outcomes and build trusted relationships will be central to your success.

A bit about you

You are a strategic communicator with deep expertise in internal/employee communications and a proven track record of advising senior leaders, including C-suite executives. You bring a thoughtful, business-minded approach to communication planning and are confident navigating complex stakeholder environments.

You are skilled in developing clear, engaging content and have a solid understanding of communication governance and risk. You are comfortable using AI-enabled tools to support content creation and delivery, and you value innovation when it enhances clarity and connection.

Your ability to translate business priorities into meaningful employee communications is matched by your commitment to continuous improvement. You are collaborative, pragmatic and purpose-driven, with a deep understanding of how communication can shape culture and drive engagement.
