Job Description:
Details of the Division and Team:
The purpose of the job holder is to be a trusted financial advisor to internal stakeholders (which includes Country Management, the business and infrastructure partners), as well to be an assistant to Finance Manager facing off to the external counterparties (external auditors or local regulators).
The job holder is expected to be responsible for and present the Statistic Reports, Financials Statements to the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV).
To perform multiple function tasks and ad hoc analysis as and when required under scope of work.

Your key responsibilities:
Payment
Receive the supporting documents and ensure the documents for payment are in line with requirement from Tax regulation and internal procedures (i.e. appropriate approval…) and ensure the booking in SAP and IDMS.
Check Work done by Accenture in DBDi; process staff claim via Concur and overseas payments (including payment to DB locations)
Prepare monthly / yearly accrual as instructed by seniors
Run daily payment run in SAP for all vendors and upload files to IDMS and checking the daily matching between SAP and IDMS.
Extract daily data and reconcile internal balances, check all pending amounts and report the pending with reasons.
Prepare internal reports and check the reports which related to the payments as assigned.
Filling all payment documents.
Reporting
Prepare, review and validate statistic and regulatory reports to SBV
To be in charge of assigned ALM function
Regular reports to regional Finance in order to compose ALCO pack
Calculate local prudential ratios to be provided to business for daily prudential ratios management as well as for reporting to SBV
Develop key financial ratios
Prepare adhoc reports to SBV or other local regulators (if any)
Financial and Non Financial Analysis
Conduct relevant financial and non-financial analysis as required by business or HoF
Fully understand the Vietnamese Accounting System, IFRS & financial control policy and audit
Develop patterns including the identification of unexpected results/outliers
Prepare and present ad-hoc reports with meaningful and insightful commentary when required
Regularly review and present local regulatory reporting and financial statements
Assist in the design and dissemination of new information / local regulatory requirements
Coordinate with other Finance colleagues & assist the Finance Manager in dealing with external auditors / tax auditors / SBV inspections
Decision Support
Develop scenarios and stress testing of the proposition(s) for the purpose of managing local prudential ratios or business strategy (when needed) and determine warning thresholds and parameters
Identify and categorise key risks / potential issues from Finance
Contribute towards the franchise/business’s Strategic Planning process (when needed)
Monitor and investigate outliers or negative trends
Undertake root cause analysis
Control tasks
Review current processes and update/develop Key Operating Procedures (KOPs)
Ensure the integrity of financial accounts and provide value added business analyses to support the strategic biz development
Other tasks
Participate in any Finance project (if any)
Back-up for other Finance team members
Analyse requirements / date and develop a tool for reporting or prepare Business Requirement Document (BRD) for any IT enhancement needed for Finance
Perform other tasks assigned by local Management or the HoF which are not listed above
Your skills and experience:
Candidates will ideally have previous experience in one or more of the following areas:
Bachelor Degree in Finance. Master Degree is a plus.
Accounting Qualification preferable, ACCA or CFA
3 to 5 years’ post qualified experience in a Finance, Control or other Analytical area within a financial institution, supporting either a diverse or complex / structured product business;
Strong knowledge or experience in IT / database or master in spreadsheets / MS access / Business Object is a plus;
Confident and articulate partner to multiple functions.
A combination of the following areas of experience would be highly regarded:
Finance (esp. Financial Accounting/Reg Reporting)
Product/ Accounting background
Strong communication skills, client partnering and organisation skills
Confident and articulate manner to partner with multiple functions
