The President, Global Business Services - Process Owner is a senior leadership role responsible for contributing to the strategic direction of the design, policies, digitization and optimization of the Global Business Services (GBS) value stream processes.
This role ensures that the end-to-end GBS processes meets business priorities and achieves its transformation goals.
This role drives a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team, focused on achieving operational excellence.
Key responsibilities:
- Aligns diverse stakeholders across end-to-end GBS processes and maintains process integrity.
- Contributes to the business process model being up-to-date and in line with business needs and market trends and works with business stakeholders and service providers to identify opportunities for value acceleration.
- Reviews process performance metrics against benchmarks and guides process improvement initiatives.
- Delivers process optimization for GBS once services are implemented.
- Drives continuous improvement and innovation culture in collaboration with business stakeholders and service providers.
- In conjunction with business (local/regional) and GBS team, creates best practice policies and processes for the end-to-end GBS processes.
- Contributes to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for processes to be delivered by service provider, GBS and/or business.
- Provides guidance and advice to functional leadership on the system/process implications of change.
- Responsible for understanding the processes to ensure process alignment across business and functional teams.
- Provides regular proposals for process transformation and improvement based on knowledge of industry and third-party capability aligned with the organization requirements.
- Contributes to process documentation, training materials including governance and standard operating procedures.
- Oversees the process for change management to drive the adoption.
- Responsible for GBS Business Process Governance Forums.
- Create culture for consistent client and employee experiences feedback.
To thrive in this role, you need to have:
- Excellent knowledge of end-to-end processes in the value streams of (Op2O, O2B, S2I, R2R, H2R).
- Excellent ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills to establish and maintain a good rapport with stakeholder groups.
- Excellent presentation skills (able to convey ideas concisely and persuasively).
- Ability to influence stakeholders about the key changes required in line with business needs.
- Excellent ability to manage stakeholders globally (this will require managing time zones and travel).
- Excellent leadership abilities to inspire and guide their teams.
- Ability to think strategically to drive growth and innovation and achieve long-term objectives.
- A deep understanding of the industry, market trends, and financial dynamics is crucial to make informed decisions that contribute to the organizational success.
- Solid understanding of financial principles to manage budgets and drive financial growth.
- Ability to be adaptable in the face of changing business environments and be willing to learn and evolve as the industry evolves.
Academic qualifications and certifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Business Management or a related field preferred.
- Post-graduate type degree such as an MBA or similar would be advantageous.
- Lean / Six sigma qualification or equivalent, CIPS accreditation preferred.
Required experience:
- Substantial experience developing standard functional processes on a common platform, including design and development of process maps and activity documents.
- Substantial experience working in a similar leadership role, preferably within a similar global organization.
- Substantial experience developing and executing a transformation strategy and roadmap.
- Substantial experience leading and managing process-oriented teams.
