The Opportunity
As an Operations Finance Manager at Allegro, you'll play a pivotal role in driving financial performance within our manufacturing operations. You'll be a key business partner to operational leaders, providing data-driven insights and recommendations that optimize capital investments, improve manufacturing efficiencies, and enhance profitability.
What You Will Do
1. Capital Expenditure Management:
Lead the capital budgeting process for operations, collaborating to align investments with strategic goals.
Provide financial analysis and justification for proposed capital projects, including DCF and ROI.
Champion improvements to the capital expenditure request and approval process.
Collaborate with Fixed Assets to analyze the financial impact of capital projects.
2. Manufacturing Budgetary Control & Analysis:
Partner with department heads to develop and manage annual operating budgets.
Conduct variance analysis, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare rolling forecasts for manufacturing departments.
Deliver timely financial reports that highlight KPIs and provide insights to management.
3. Operational Performance Reporting & Insights:
Manage and enhance operational dashboards (including the Monthly Business Review dashboard).
Analyze monthly financial and operational results to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Provide insightful commentary and recommendations to management.
4. Cost Accounting & Process Improvement:
Collaborate with Cost Accounting to understand cost drivers and validate standard costs.
Provide operational input for capacity planning and ensure accurate cost accounting practices.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control within Operations Finance processes.
5. Strategic Analysis & Project Support:
Develop financial models to evaluate complex business scenarios.
Conduct make-versus-buy analyses, evaluate cost reduction initiatives, and recommend strategies.
Analyze inventory levels and trends to optimize inventory management.
Provide financial expertise to cross-functional teams on critical organizational projects.
What You Will Need
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience that blends financial acumen with an understanding of manufacturing operations.
Demonstrated passion for finance and manufacturing.
Proven track record of success with capital planning, expenditure analysis, budgeting, and financial modeling.
ERP experience (SAP or Oracle) is required.
Advanced Excel skills are required.
Data visualization skills are a plus.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to see the bigger picture.
