About the Unit: 5 North is a 26-bed General Surgery specialty unit. We are a Med-Surg Unit with heavy surgical volume. We specialize in:

  • Elective bariatricweigh loss surgery - these are typically our happiest and easiest patients. They go to the OR and are expected to be up and ambulating on post op Day 0.
  • Generalsurgery - appendectomies, cholecystectomies, small bowel obstruction, etc.
  • Foot and ankle ortho - total ankle replacements and infected foot wounds, BKA's etc.
  • Urology surgery.

A Nurse on our Unit will gain experience in drains of all kinds, wound vacs, central lines, NGT, DHT, and all surgical things!

Pay Range

$34.90 - $52.35
