The Goddard School® located in Alpharetta, GA 30022 is seeking a passionate and nurturing Lead Infant Teacher to join our dedicated team. At our School, we put our teachers first—because they put children first.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum and Instruction
Implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using our exclusive Wonder of Learning® curriculum to support each infant’s cognitive, physical, and emotional development.

Classroom Management
Create and maintain a warm, safe, and nurturing classroom environment that supports exploration and comfort for infants as young as 6 weeks old.

Family Communication
Establish and maintain open, positive communication with families, sharing updates on daily routines, developmental milestones, and care needs.

Health and Safety
Ensure the health, hygiene, and safety of each infant by following all licensing regulations, including diapering, feeding, napping, and supervising indoor/outdoor activities.

Assessment and Documentation
Observe, assess, and document each child’s developmental progress and share insights with families and leadership.

Professional Development
Participate in ongoing training and development to continually improve teaching strategies and child care practices.

Team Collaboration
Work closely with Assistant Teachers and support staff to ensure a consistent and caring classroom experience.

Behavior Guidance
Promote positive behavior through gentle, developmentally appropriate guidance and responsive caregiving.

High school diploma or GED required

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred

Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred

1–2 years of experience working with infants or young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
- Must have completed all state-required pre-service training
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working with babies and families
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the care of young children
