Sanitisation & Environment Technician

The Role

As a Sanitation & Environmental Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for food production. This role involves the deep cleaning and sanitisation of equipment, machinery, and work areas throughout the plant, helping to prevent contamination and uphold food safety standards.

This role involves working independently and collaboratively, using specialised tools and equipment to reach confined or elevated spaces.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform daily deep cleans of all amenities, and lunchroom areas
• Perform specialised deep cleans of production equipment and machinery, including disassembly and reassembly where required.
• Conduct routine line cleans, floor, wall, ceiling, and drain cleaning in accordance with site hygiene procedures.
• Support production and maintenance teams with post-work cleans and critical cleans as needed.
• Strictly follow all safety, hygiene, and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
• Maintain the wash bay and other hygiene areas, ensuring tools and equipment are in good working condition.
• Accurately complete cleaning logs and documentation in line with food safety and compliance requirement

This is a physically demanding role that requires frequent kneeling, bending, squatting, working at heights, and lifting items up to 25kg.

• Physically fit with the ability to perform manual tasks, including regular lifting, kneeling, squatting, and working in awkward postures.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined or hard-to-reach areas.
• A proactive team player who is willing to take ownership of tasks and work autonomously
