As a member of the Business Growth leadership team and take ownership for the growth strategy of the category division and people leadership, to ensure we maximise all revenue streams from existing key clients, whilst continuously identifying, acquiring and developing new client prospects.

You will conduct thorough analysis to identify untapped opportunities and potential from these sectors. This involves assessing market dynamics, consumer behaviour, and technological advancements that could be commercial advantages.
Reports into: Head of Commercial Business Growth

What you'll be doing...

  • You will drive the usage of Connect (CRM) and advise on the Business Growth (BG) Teams specifications and future development criteria with senior stakeholders within IT. Ensure all collected and there is visibility and clarity of the BGT prospect funnel, monitor all data and advise on strategy based on conversion rates from prospect to sale and all leads are consistently optimised.
  • Responsible for key projects such as SAP integration for the BG and Commercial Sales Team.
  • We need you to ensure that JCDecaux smart systems and data are used to their best effect across the whole team, and that any developments required for these systems are scoped and communicated with the relevant business-wide systems leads. This will involve collaborative work with IT on new developments and adaptions.
  • Drive the team-wide adaptation of our systems, with the objectives of improving cost of sale efficiencies and increasing topline revenue e.g. development of API for direct sales.
  • Using data, you will analyse opportunities for increasing average order values, and propose, assess, and develop processes that will enable this.
  • Working with the ‘Head Of’s across BG, you will give support to their teams in effective system use. You will scope, lead and drive the adoption of systems, both existing and new; organise and provide training on these across the BG Team, improving the commercial returns from these systems; ensuring these systems fully reflect BG team trading position
  • You have responsibility for ensuring the Category team deliver all revenue expectations and KPI and goals plus any personal revenue expectation.
  • Ensure effective trading across BG team revenue, working closely with Trading to achieve the best possible yields, in line with trading policy; proactively take a lead in identifying short term revenue opportunities, particularly for digital and programmatic inventory.
  • Effectively use our data resources to identify when sales focus pivot is required to drive revenue into underperforming channels; equip the team with the appropriate collateral and rate structure to achieve this.
  • Ensure we have a robust lead sourcing strategy to gain additional revenue opportunities that drives market share
  • Ensure your team members cultivate strong relationships with key clients by understanding their business goals, addressing concerns, and proactively suggesting innovative solutions. Client satisfaction and retention are key aspects of leadership in this role.
  • Collaborating with internal partners, such as sales, marketing, and finance to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach. Effective communication and alignment across departments contribute to the overall success.
  • Identifying potential risks and challenges within each sector and developing proactive mitigation strategies. Leadership involves steering the team through uncertainties and adapting strategies as needed.
  • Own the analysis of performance metrics and providing insightful reports to internal collaborators. This includes identifying areas for improvement and optimizing future directions based on data-driven insights.
  • Encouraging a culture of continuous learning and adaptation within the team. Champion an environment where colleagues are encouraged to stay curious, explore new trends, and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Drive the narrative to key category brands for the wider commercial team. These may procure directly or through their agency partners.

  • Able to translate problem solving into revenue generation opportunities; with a consistent track record in proactively identifying solutions to business challenges, you can work with agility to develop and implement these solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal; ability to communicate across all levels.
  • Independent self-starter; able to prioritise workflows, within specific timeframes and ability to create a long term strategy for growth

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience of senior external and internal partner management and excellent negotiating skills, with a high degree of commercial competence
  • Previous experience producing and delivering inspirational presentations to bring new clients to digital out-of-home.
  • Dedication to continued career and personal development.
  • Clean driving license
  • Proven computer and digital literacy and technical skills
