The Cash Collector ensures an effective and efficient cash collection process in the assigned country. The main goal is to minimize overdue receivables and ensure on-time payments of due invoices.
The Cash Collector contributes to the monthly cash and overdue reporting, supports closing activities, and guarantees compliance with internal controls and corporate regulations.
A strong focus is placed on maintaining positive relationships with both external customers (especially finance departments) and internal teams (Sales, AR, Customer Service/SAS, etc.).
Responsibilities:
Analyze and collect due and overdue receivables (internal and external)
Prepare weekly reports to monitor overdue balances
Develop and update action plans to track and eliminate overdues
Daily monitoring of receivables
Daily contact with customers to understand reasons for delayed payments (e.g. disputes, pricing issues, etc.) and collect payment confirmations
Send dunning letters / payment reminders
Organize and lead internal meetings or calls to review overdue status and resolution progress
Early detection and mitigation of potential overdue risks
Cooperate closely with internal departments such as Sales, SAS, and AR
Prepare and analyze KPIs related to receivables and cash collection performance
Validate and monitor customer creditworthiness
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and control systems
Contribute to the Group Ethics & Compliance program by applying and respecting the Code of Ethics and Valeo policies
Requirements:
University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position within cash collection, credit management, treasury, or accounts receivable
Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with various stakeholders
Experience with accounting systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP)
