Position Summary

Review patient medical records and insurance payer correspondence to ensure accuracy. Print, prepare, and mail documents in a timely manner, ensuring proper handling and distribution according to established procedures

*This position is on-site in Crescent Springs, KY*

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review and verify documents uploaded to patient accounts for accuracy and completeness.
  • Print and prepare correspondence to designated insurance payers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Scan and upload mailing confirmation receipts to the corresponding patient account’s electronic file.
  • Update system notes and codes to reflect actions taken and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Provide cross-departmental support and assist various clients with their needs and inquiries.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information, whether communicated verbally, in writing, or electronically.
  • Remain current with payor rules and utilize appropriate postage methods.
  • Adheres to company and client security policies to protect confidential information and adhere to HIPPA guidelines regarding PHI.
  • Maintain work area in a professional and HIPAA compliant state.

Skills and Experience

  •  HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong attention to detail skills
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize work and adapt accordingly to situational demands.
  • Proven ability to efficiently produce accurate work while paying attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work autonomously under minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of computer functions including the internet, and computer software such as Microsoft Office suite, Word, Share Point, and PPS software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
