A Day in the Life
Our team in Billerica, MA plays a critical role in the testing and verification of capital equipment that supports life-saving medical devices. We are hiring multiple Test Technicians across all shifts (1st, 2nd and 3rd) to support our growing needs!
As a Capital Equipment Test Technician II, you will:
- Execute test procedures for electromechanical medical equipment, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
- Perform functional testing and/or electrical safety testing using both automated and manual test systems.
- Accurately document results using Medtronic’s test management systems and maintain traceability.
- Modifies equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams and sketches.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at product quality, process optimization, and test system reliability.
Openings Available in These Key Areas:
- Safety Testing: Conduct and verify electrical safety and leakage current tests using equipment such as Fluke ESA615, Rigel, or equivalent systems.
- Programming: Set up, configure, and validate firmware/software builds on capital equipment using proprietary test environments and programming tools.
Must Have: Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED AND minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Nice to Have: Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with some or all of the following: Oscilloscopes (Tektronix, Keysight, etc.), Digital Multimeters (Fluke, Agilent), Function/Signal Generators, Electrical Safety Analyzers (Fluke ESA, Rigel), Test Fixtures and Jigs, Computerized test automation systems, Hand tools and small assembly instruments, PLCs, data acquisition systems, or LabVIEW-based platforms (a plus)
- Proficient with electrical test equipment and basic troubleshooting
- Experience in a regulated environment (FDA, ISO 13485)
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and test protocols
- Familiarity with capital equipment, embedded systems, or PLC-based controls
- Strong communication, documentation, and data interpretation skills
Shifts Available
- 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
- 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm (Additional $1.50 per hour)
- 3rd Shift: Monday - Friday, 10:00 pm - 6:30 am (Additional $3.00 per hour)
