F-Secure is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. This role focuses on quality assurance across a variety of partner-driven initiatives rather than a single fixed product. You’ll contribute to Python-based test automation, API and UI testing, performance validation, manual test design, and structured documentation. Your work will be essential in ensuring the reliability and technical excellence of custom configurations, feature adaptations, and integration layers that extend F-Secure’s core offerings to meet diverse partner needs.

Rather than working on a standalone product, you’ll be involved in validating solutions across multiple service layers and deployment contexts, ranging from custom-built features to telemetry enhancements. This variety brings engaging challenges and opportunities to grow your skills in both independent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll work closely with developers in Kuala Lumpur and coordinate with QA peers in Slovakia and Finland, all within a distributed team known for its openness, adaptability, and commitment to continuous improvement.

This role supports F-Secure’s strategic direction of deepening collaboration with strategic partners by enabling customization and configuration above the base product. Whether through the creation of a new feature, adaptation layer, or the inclusion of novel telemetry events, the QA function is crucial for ensuring these partner-specific implementations are stable, functional, and secure. The work directly influences partner satisfaction and accelerates F-Secure’s ability to scale its security solutions in diverse market contexts.

What you will do in this role:

Design, automate, and maintain UI, API, and performance test cases using Python and Playwright.
Execute manual and exploratory tests when automation isn't feasible, adapting to evolving tech landscapes.
Develop and maintain test coverage for APIs and front-end flows with tools like Postman, Insomnia, and Cucumber.
Collaborate with developers (mainly in Kuala Lumpur) and QA peers across time zones to ensure test readiness.
Navigate partner-specific product variations and contribute to agile delivery cycles.
Use JIRA, Confluence, and modern testing tools to track tasks, document processes, and support quality assurance.
We also encourage you to propose improvements and streamline testing processes, contributing to an ongoing culture of refinement.

What are we looking for?

Strong experience in testing APIs, UI, and backend services, detail-oriented.
Capability of working independently and managing test scopes with minimal supervision.
You appreciate teamwork in a collaborative environment, and share insights or reusable solutions across the QA community actively.
You are enthusiastic about learning and innovating, including in areas like AI-driven testing or automation tooling.
You embrace change and demonstrate a creative mindset for problem-solving and simplifying complex testing flows.
