RMC is hiring for a Part-Time Cloud Solutions Architect who will be responsible for designing, planning and managing cloud-based infrastructure and services within a large-scale DoD environment at NSWC Dahlgren. This role is both technical and strategic, serving as a bridge between environment needs and technical implementation.

Requirements

The selected applicant will possess the following qualifications:

3-5 years of experience with design and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architecture (IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS).
3-5 years of experience translating business and technical requirements into cloud architecture and design
5 years of experience with deep knowledge and hands-on experience in Azure Government Cloud
5 years of demonstrated knowledge of DoD Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) and implementation of SCCA-compliant Landing Zones in Azure Government Cloud, ensuring alignment with DISA STIGs and DoD Cloud SRG guidelines.
Ability to lead or support cloud migration projects (e.g., rehosting, replatforming, refactoring)
Ability to assess existing applications and workloads for cloud readiness
Ability to develop migration roadmaps and timeline

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

High School Diploma or GED

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:

The selected applicant must have DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level II Certification (Security + CE, etc.).
The selected applicant must obtain Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert within 60 days of start.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

A DoD INTERIM SECRET security clearance is required to start.
Applicant must have the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $120,000 to $180,000.00 annually.
