We are seeking a top candidate to join our team as Senior SQL Database Administrator (Principal Consultant).
USD 3K - 3.5K/month.
Location:
Remote (for Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Perú, Chile, and Argentina residents).

- You have 7+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server.
- You are expert in Troubleshooting, backup strategies, SQL Server Query Optimizer, and Azure SQL Database.
- Spanish - Native or fully fluent.
- English - Native or fully fluent.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly experienced and client-focused Senior SQL Database Administrator to join our team as a Principal Consultant. This is a fully client-facing role that requires strong communication skills, technical excellence, and leadership in database consulting. You will start by supporting a few existing clients and gradually expand your portfolio to manage up to five client environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Consulting & Leadership:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, assess their database needs, lead solution discussions, and take full ownership of outcomes.
- Design and implement scalable, reliable SQL Server database systems across on-premise and Azure environments.
- Analyze system performance and optimize SQL queries and configurations to maximize responsiveness and resource efficiency.
- Enforce security best practices and ensure data accuracy across all systems.
- Develop and maintain backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical client data.
- Track growth trends and maintain detailed documentation on configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams, sysadmins, and project managers to ensure successful integration and delivery.
- Identify and resolve database issues—especially during on-call support—with urgency and precision.
- Stay up to date with SQL Server advancements, Azure cloud technologies, and industry best practices.
Requisitos
- 7+ years of proven experience in SQL Server administration.
- Expertise in performance tuning, SQL query optimization, and data integrity.
- Experience with Azure SQL and on-prem environments is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead client-facing conversations.
- Ability to manage multiple client environments and prioritize effectively.
- Availability to participate in on-call rotations.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate are a plus.
