The U.S. Consumer Services and Enterprise Digital & Data Technology Team brings together foundational strategic technology capabilities in digital experience engineering (Mobile and Web), AI/ML, marketing technology, enterprise communications, travel and lifestyle, and automation, grounded in our data technology model that prioritizes data governance. It employs a ground-breaking focus with development responsibilities for customer-facing capabilities that deepen and expand digital engagement, as well as core technical capabilities that cut across business lines and customer segments.
GO2 Unify is the Java based POA platform for Global Onboarding and Orchestration. GO2 is the platform that takes care of all activities required to be done for onboarding a customer across markets, segments and products. When a customer selects an Amex product from a channel (example americanexpress.com), enters the demographic and other information and clicks submit, the application is passed over to GO2. GO2 takes the application through a series of steps, enriching the same at every step and evaluating for a cancel or decline decision. At the end of processing, the application, if not cancelled or declined, is approved and GO2 then fulfills that application. GO2 also takes care of managing business pends where the customer may need to provide more information in which case the CCPs use the GO2 servicing application to interact with the customer and move the application ahead. This new platform is a BPM platform built using Java and REST services.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Lead a team of engineers with a focus on continuing to develop governance and QA review skills for the future. Display thought leadership, drive process, and support work/life balance initiatives
- Development of Automation and Testing in a CI/CD environment for web applications
- Work with Engineers to drive improvements in code quality via manual and automated Testing.
- Develop Test Plans, Strategies and scheduling of test activity.
- Create, maintain and implement Test cases/scripts at any level as required (Unit, Integration, Component Integration, System Integration, Exploratory).
- Validate and report on test results for software quality improvement.
- Coordinate “Quality at Every Step” – Involved in the review of the user story backlog and requirements specifications for completeness and weaknesses in function, performance, reliability, scalability, testability, usability, and security and compliance testing, and provides recommendations.
- Work with Product Owners to prioritize features, maintain documentation and known issues.
- Reviews progress and makes recommendations for areas of opportunities/improvements for automation & tool usage.
- Looks beyond the obvious for continuous improvement opportunities.
- Identify and illuminate risks to the whole team when identified at any stage of planning or development.
- Coordinate with other QAEs to ensure a consistent messaging across the platform as it relates to Quality.
- Provides guidance and domain expertise to engineers on testing and Quality Assurance (QA) methodologies and processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
- BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical subject area or equivalent 3-4 years of work experience
- 5+ yrs Experience with Webdriver based Test Automation APIs (Selenium or WebdriverIO or Nightmare.js etc.)
- 3-5 yrs Experience with Appium for device test automation
- 5+ years Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) / Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practices, unit testing, functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing, GUI testing, web service testing, and browser compatibility testing, including frameworks such as Selenium, WebDriverIO, Cucumber, JUnit, Mockito
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery environment and platforms, especially Maven and Jenkins
- 3-4 yrs hands on experience in writing JavaScript applications in node.js. Minimum Node 8
- 2-3 yrs working in an Agile development environment
- Experience in Acquisition could provide an added advantage in this role.
Minimum Qualifications
Salary Range: $120,000.00 to $210,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
