Synopsis
To develop, implement, and manage the company’s Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, ensuring compliance with regulations, alignment with international best practices, and integration into overall business strategy to enhance long-term stakeholder value.
Accountabilities
- Initiate communications announcing launch of the annual reporting cycle and send out rating reports.
- Develop and cascade an ESG risk assessment tool
- Launch ESG system automation project
- Develop and drive ESG strategy aligned with company objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Ensure integration of ESG principles into business operations, policies, and decision-making processes.
- Establish ESG governance structures, including policies, frameworks, and reporting systems.
- Lead initiatives to minimize the company’s environmental impact (e.g., carbon footprint, waste management, water usage).
- Oversee data collection and environmental impact assessments to support sustainability reporting.
- Support implementation of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and resource optimization projects.
- Promote social sustainability initiatives including DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion), labor practices, employee wellbeing, and community engagement.
- Monitor supplier and contractor adherence to ethical sourcing and human rights practices.
- Drive CSR projects aligned with community development and business goals.
- Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to ensure governance practices are ethical, transparent, and in line with global standards.
- Maintain ESG risk registers and conduct materiality assessments periodically.
- Support board-level ESG reporting and disclosures.
- Lead ESG data management and produce internal and external ESG reports (e.g., annual sustainability report, ESG disclosures, impact reports).
- Liaise with rating agencies, investors, and auditors on ESG assessments and performance.
- Create ESG communication strategies for internal and external stakeholders.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Economics, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, corporate responsibility, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks and reporting standards.
- Experience with sustainability data, analytics, and stakeholder engagement.
