Pathology Technician

Pathology Assistant at Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance in Torrance, CA. This position is per-diem and will work 8-hour, Day shifts.

Responsible for daily activities in gross room or cytology preparation and flow cytometry areas, including specimen accessioning, handling, and processing.  Assists with bone marrow and fine needle aspiration procedures.  Keeps area and equipment properly maintained and stocked. Performs and documents quality control checks. Able to provide indirect patient care to all age groups from neonates to adults.

Preferred Qualifications:

• H.S. Diploma or GED, or 2 years of recent experience in a hospital pathology or laboratory department.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
