Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Scheduler to join our team in Downtown Indianapolis. This role is responsible for scheduling surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, therapy services, and other medical appointments accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with various departments to ensure optimal patient care and resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule medical appointments including surgeries, diagnostics, and therapies

  • Coordinate with internal departments and external facilities

  • Collect and verify patient documentation and insurance information

  • Maintain accurate records and perform clerical duties

  • Ensure timely receipt and compliance of written orders

  • May perform charge audit functions for the department

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Experience in a medical office setting (preferred)

  • Familiarity with insurance verification processes (preferred)

  • Experience with Cerner scheduling systems (preferred)

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy (required)

  • Basic computer proficiency (required)

  • Prior scheduling experience in healthcare (preferred)
