About the Role
The HR Workforce Development posting outlines efforts to strengthen healthcare workforce pipelines by collaborating with K-12 organizations to provide career exposure, work-based learning, and employment opportunities at IU Health. Key responsibilities include developing and managing educational programs, building partnerships with schools and community groups, and aligning these initiatives with educational standards and industry needs. The role involves designing curriculum and extracurricular activities, coordinating mentorship and internships, and promoting programs through various outreach channels. Additionally, the position focuses on engaging a diverse student population, tracking program outcomes, and continuously improving strategies to support students’ academic and career success in healthcare. It also supports initiatives to involve current IU Health staff and community job seekers in healthcare careers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
- Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in program management, education or a related fields.
- Experience in healthcare education or workforce development is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated understanding of inclusive hiring practices and a commitment to promoting diversity and equity in the workplace.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems, candidate relationship management platforms and other recruitment tools.
- Knowledge of K-12 education systems and healthcare career pathways.
