Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional team member to support patient flow and administrative functions in our Otolaryngology department. This role ensures timely and accurate patient processing, contributing to both clinical and financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and guide patients from arrival to destination.
Collect and enter financial and demographic data accurately.
Schedule appointments and gather medical information.
Explain department/hospital charges and policies.
Validate and enter charges into appropriate systems.
Collect payments and handle inquiries via phone.
Direct patients and visitors appropriately.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Ability to learn and retain medical coding (ICD-10, CPT).
Familiarity with insurance processes and medical terminology preferred.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
