YOUR ROLE IN CREATING GERONIMOMENTS

As the Area Director of Food & Beverage Operations, you areresponsible for the overall growth and financial success of the assigned portion of the restaurant portfolio and will also assist in evaluating future acquisitions and managing new property openings. The Director of Restaurants will work closely with and oversee the property General Managers and indirectly supervise property level team members to meet or exceed the strategic goals of the organization. This position is responsible for the overall financial results of each property within their respective market, as well as the development and execution of strategies that support, strengthen and grow the quality of customer service, efficiency and profitability of each assigned hospitality asset. The position will also be responsible for overall property maintenance and corporate culture and report directly to the VP of Food & Beverage Operations.
WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
- Leads a team accountable for the performance and results of a function, industry and/or region.
- Receives work in the form of objectives and strategically determines how to use resources to meet deadlines and goals.
- Drives a culture of open communication.
- Oversee performance measurements to ensure that each property operates within approved budgets and is competitive in their respective comp sets.
- Drive organizational excellence in operations and customer service.
- Direct property leadership in revenue growth, market share performance and sales initiatives to achieve desired outcomes.
- Develop and train effective General Managers who embrace accountability for their property’s performance.
- Act as liaison between restaurant properties and VP of Restaurant Operations while working to enhance and enforce human resources, operational and accounting SOPs and ensure compliance at each property.
- Identify and enhance synergies between properties to maximize buying power, streamline operations and encourage communication between property General Managers.
- Ensure that operating plans and budgets for each property are completed on a timely basis and each entity is successfully implementing such plans for maximum performance.
- Design and implement monthly operating reviews of operating and financial performance to be presented to the VP of Restaurant Operations of GHG.
- Maintain the cost-effective approach to repair, maintenance and construction services, ensuring the highest value added services in these areas. Work with GHG/Hendricks Commercial Properties to protect and maintain assets.
- Regularly travel to each property for property inspections, evaluation of customer service levels and overall performance on a quarterly basis.
- Meet with property general managers on a weekly basis to discuss overall performance of the business.
- Detail and review income statements with VP of Restaurants on a monthly basis.
- Work with general managers of each property to ensure COGS, including labor, is within budget
- Ensure training programs at each entity are to Geronimo Hospitality Group standards, including execution.
- Maintain high level of knowledge of operational trends within the industry in bar, dine-in, room, catering and banquet service.

Requirements
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or Business Administration or equivalent of education and work experience
Experience and/or Training
- Minimum five years of restaurant management experience; must include General Manager experience.
- Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and initiate appropriate course of action.
- Effectively convey ideas, images and goals to a diverse group of personalities.
- POS experience preferred.
- A demonstrated record of success in achieving financial, operational and customer service goals.
- Knowledge of restaurant P&L and budgets.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute.
- Ability to travel as required
