We are Looking for:
We are looking for a professional and courteous Patient Service Representative to join our Dermatology clinic located at 2211 Norfolk St. Houston TX 77098 . As the first point of contact for our patients, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, coordinating financial responsibilities, and ensuring that our patients have a positive experience when they visit our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Verify patient information, including insurance coverage and personal information
- Collect co-pays and other fees from patients at the time of service
- Ensure the referrals are in the patient's chart before the patient comes in
- Maintain patient records and ensure that they are accurate and up to date
- Count cash box and complete cash reconciliation forms. Once close is completed, sign off on EBO report and cash reconciliation
- Handle patient complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of College/University is a plus
- Must have availability to begin work at 7:00 AM
- Experience in a medical office or customer service environment preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
- Ability to type 65 words per minute (minimum 55 wpm)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing preferred
