Human Resources Business Partner

Job Summary

As a strategic advisor and collaborative partner, the Human Resources Business Partner plays a pivotal role in aligning People Operations strategies with business objectives while also owning and executing full-cycle recruitment. This role offers the unique opportunity to build strong relationships with leadership, drive impactful people initiatives, and attract top talent to fuel UNICO’s growth. Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding across various departments.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, build job descriptions, and develop effective hiring strategies.
  • Leverage multiple sourcing channels, including LinkedIn, job boards, social media, referrals, and networking events to attract top candidates.
  • Build and maintain internship program
  • Maintain applicant tracking systems and ensure positive candidate experience.
  • Develop recruitment metrics to assess effectiveness and report outcomes.

HR Business Partnering

  • Serve as a partner to each department, offering expertise in performance management, employee relations, conflict management and organizational development.
  • Guide managers on talent management initiatives including such things as hiring, team development, career pathing and employee engagement.
  • Drive and support People Ops initiatives such as employee experience enhancements and change management efforts.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to develop data-driven strategies for workforce planning and performance improvement. 
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies and HR best practices.

Requirements

Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of HR experience, ideally as a business partner or generalist

Skills | Abilities

  • Strong understanding of HR disciplines including talent management, employee relations, compensation, employment law, and organizational development
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in HRIS and data tools
  • High level of integrity, discretion and professionalism

Physical Demands | Working Environment

  • Must be physically able to operate a motor vehicle
  • This role’s physical exertion is sedentary and occurs in an office environment. 
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. 
  • Substantial movements and repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers. 
  • This Individual will require close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer, and extensive reading.
  • Very limited or no exposure to physical risk.
  • Other duties as assigned.
