Position Summary: The Admissions Care Coordinator facilitates access into the Buckley House, performs initial screening for enrollment and provides overall support for individuals accessing care for withdrawal symptoms. This department is designed to facilitate the successful enrollment, engagement, retention and continuity of care for individuals and their families. 

Employment Summary: 

  • Fulltime non-exempt 
  • Benefit eligible
  • Schedule: Monday- Friday 8am- 4:30PM
  • Compensation: 20.79/Hour

 Minimum Qualifications: 

  •  High School diploma or equivalent  

Skills and abilities:

  • Must be able to navigate computer systems 
  • Customer service skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of substance addiction as a progressive disease 
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions and to apply techniques for special needs. 
  • Knowledge of de-escalation methods.

  • Criminal Background check conducted by the Department of Human Services Background Check Unit

Requirements

 

Essential Duties  

  • Perform screening for enrollment into Buckley House. 
  • Assisting with verification of insurance benefits. 
  • Helps in removing barriers to admitting into detox. 
  • Facilitating intakes, including completion of all necessary admission paperwork. 
  • Documenting interventions and responses to care in an accurate, legible & intelligible manner  
  • Assisting clients in connecting with programs and services  
  • Provide delegated medical and clinical care coordination and administration as assigned 
  • Main customer service representative, receiving incoming phone calls, routing calls, taking messages, collecting initial demographic information and service excellence 
  • Promote the mission, vision and values of the organization 
  • Recognize and respond to opportunities for position improvement 
  • Serve as a point of contact, advocate, and informational resource for client, family, care team, payers and community
