Job Summary/Objective
Manage all technical support for Farm Operations, focusing mainly on feed warehouse operations and data management within fish inventory tracking software or applicable system. Oversees feed mill data and processes and assist Technical Services & Feed Operation Manager with the data management of the fish inventory tracking software or applicable system.
Essential Functions
- Oversee employees in the warehouse, ensuring duties are completed and correct feed in the correct amounts are delivered to customers (primarily internal farms).
- Perform general warehouse duties: including and not limited to, truck loading, staging of product, inventory, receiving, and housekeeping.
- Warehouse inventory staging, counting, auditing and organization.
- Assure proper rotation of product FIFO (first in first out).
- Manage feed Invoicing and Bill of Lading procedures.
- Be aware of safety concerns within all facilities and take appropriate action when needed to correct safety issues.
- Be aware of maintenance concerns within all facilities (out of the ordinary dock storage temperatures, fans, water leakage, etc.) and notify maintenance department when necessary.
- Pick-up and delivery of product from assigned locations for company needs.
- Understand and utilize Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedure.
- Collaborate with Accounting to reconcile reports.
- Assist Technical Services & Feed Operations Manager in assuring that the farm database is being updated as needed and data is being managed correctly and consistently.
- Work with the data base programmer to help facilitate the development of a useful data mining method which will help analyze pertinent data, ultimately resulting in “on track” decision making.
- Work cooperatively with all company departments.
- Help to develop and implement training programs for existing and new applications and processes.
- Manage miscellaneous farm data and communication systems as required.
- Work with all departments to identify, plan, and implement new software programs to support farm business processes.
- Participate in discussions about confidential/sensitive matters.
- Ability to present and speak in front of groups.
- Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
- Communicate with employees and vendors through written, oral and face-to-face interactions.
- Work with fellow employees in completion of work.
- Communicate with fellow employees to complete tasks and adhere to safety standards.
- Work both independently and with others to identify and implement efficiency gains related to IT functions and farm business processes.
- Provide aid, training, and goal setting to all employees under supervision.
- Assist VP of Farms in creating projection models and tracking yearly progress against said models.
- Have extensive knowledge of fish inventory tracking software(GoFish) application or data entry application method used.
- Ability to run fiscal week and month closeouts and spot and correct data errors when the need arises.
- Comprehensive understanding of farm reports pulled from applications and ability to extract and use da-ta in various scenarios.
- Ability to troubleshoot database errors within the SQL Server to allow affected personnel to complete data entry duties.
- Instruct affected database personnel on how to effectively correct data entry errors and aid when necessary to keep data as true as possible.
- Conduct and attend meetings pertaining to farms and data.
- Assist in hiring and training of all feed warehouse and farm data entry personnel.

Work Environment
The worker is mainly in an office environment.
Physical Demands
This job involves medium work exerting force occasionally, frequently and constantly to move objects. The worker will be required to have a range of motion as follows:
- Often requires walking, moving, or climbing to accomplish tasks.
- Often requires sitting for sustained periods of time.
- Occasionally requires stooping and reaching.
- Occasionally requires pushing using upper extremities to press against something with steady force.
- Occasionally requires pulling using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion.
- Lifting 50lbs is required on a regular basis.
- Ability to use pallet jacks is required.
- Often requires feeling of products perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
- Repetitive motions are required which involve substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full-time position, 5 days a week, Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Travel
Local travel is required.
Required Education and Experience
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree in business/information technology and one year of work experience or equivalent combination of work and training.
- Required to have advanced knowledge of MS Excel spreadsheets, computer systems and computer pro-grams.
- Ability to develop and lead people with positive and innovative ideas.
- Driver’s license and good driving record required.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Vast knowledge of aquaculture.
- Record keeping, organizational skills.
- Exemplary attendance.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form.
- Must show a positive attitude and work well with others.
