Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Purpose:

To ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications by performing detailed manual testing, including functional, integration, database, and API-level validations. The role focuses on identifying issues before deployment and ensuring that applications meet business and technical requirements.

Essential Functions:

Understand business and functional requirements and translate them into detailed test cases.

Perform manual testing of web and backend systems.

Conduct integration testing across systems, services, and databases.

Execute and validate complex SQL queries to verify data accuracy, transformation, and integrity.

Test RESTful APIs by validating responses, status codes, headers, and payloads.

Document and report bugs with clear replication steps using a bug-tracking tool (e.g., JIRA).

Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other QA engineers to ensure quality across the SDLC.

Participate in test planning, effort estimation, and test design reviews.

Support regression, smoke, and sanity testing as needed.

Four years of college resulting in a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Experience

• 5 to 8 years of related experience Special Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
• 4+ years of experience in manual software testing.
• Proven experience in integration testing of APIs and back-end systems.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and complex queries involving joins, subqueries, and data validation.
• Experience testing REST APIs using tools like Postman, Swagger, or REST Assured.
• Exposure to agile development processes and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
