Job Description

Join our dynamic Portfolio Management team, a key part of TAL’s Group Life and Retirement business unit. We oversee operations across Industry Fund, Master Trust, and corporate market segments, ensuring seamless policy administration and reinsurance treaty setup.

As a Senior Portfolio Management Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day processing of gross and reinsurance premiums. You’ll also lead month-end activities and contribute to strategic initiatives focused on automating and enhancing core processes.

In this role you will: 

  • Conduct analysis of premiums to ensure that validity of the premium received and review against the underlying terms and conditions
  • Calculate reinsurance premiums and prepare relevant reports in line with reinsurance arrangements for each client
  • Prepare month-end journals, reports, and reconciliations relating to the Group Life business and work with the Finance team on queries
  • Calculate monthly Group stamp duty liabilities and provide stamp duty related data and information for tender and rerate as required
  • Provide timely and accurate data and insights to help the Commercial Operations Manager with informed decision-making

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or Actuarial
  • Experience working within the financial services industry
  • Solid foundation and technical knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Good analytical, problem-solving skills and documentation skills
  • Sound organisational skills and ability to perform required tasks on a timely basis with minimal supervision
