Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the overall executive leadership of the Business. Responsible for developing a strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives, and for driving revenue, profitability, and growth. Responsible for providing and communicating a clear vision for the Business.
- Strong and effective leadership of the Testing and Inspection Activities in Slovakia in line with company objectives and strategy.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- In conjunction with programs and standards set by the Subregional Manager, is responsible for the overall leadership in the affiliate on behalf of all SGS Businesses.
- Responsible for developing a strategic plan to advance SGS mission and objectives, and for driving growth, revenue and profitability.
- Responsible to provide and communicate a clear vision for the Business
- Responsible for driving revenue and profitability, regularly reviewing business performance and implementing actions to ensure achievement of targets
- Be close to the market and competition in order to identify and explore opportunities for growth (new services & acquisitions) to expand SGS Market share in the affiliate
- Sets overall performance goals and standards for performance in all areas of the business, developing Key Performance Indicators to measure achievement of results
- Support international sales activity led directly by the Businesses
- Ensure competitive pricing in line with business guidelines
- Create and support the optimal structure to deliver growth and profitability
- Build the best teams to help support and drive the business
- Lead the Management team in all aspects of their business Management and personnel development
- Ensure clear business plans are in place (covering all aspects of the business – commercial and operations) for each business line
- Oversee company operations to insure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources
- Communicate with the Subregional Manager, Functions and peers to share resources and ideas
- Create and sustain a culture of achieving excellence
- Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, such as government officials, customers, suppliers, and partners.
- Act as the SGS ambassador to promote SGS brand to the customer
- Ensure consistent service delivery quality according to customer feedback
- Implement group standard processes and policies in the country related to IT, HR, Legal, Compliance, Finance, OI, etc.
- Operate to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the SGS Statement of Integrity
- Identify, assess, develop, coach and promote high potential employees
- Minimize costs without compromising sales and service delivery
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
PROFILE
Education (Essential)
- College degree in management, marketing, or sales, and/or minimum 10 years direct operational/management experience in same or related product line (testing & inspection). In-depth knowledge of company operational procedures is required.
