At Comoto, we're more than just a company; we're a community of riders dedicated to providing the best gear and experiences for motorcyclists. Our Mission is to serve the rider, fuel the industry, and inspire the community. Our Exclusive Brands (EB) are a key part of that mission, delivering unique, high-quality products that meet the specific needs of our customers. As our Product Developer, you'll be instrumental in managing the journey from finalized product design concepts through to successful production and delivery of market-ready products that exceed expectations.

As a Product Developer, you'll be the crucial link between our internal design teams and external manufacturing partners, ensuring a seamless journey from approved designs to final product delivery. The Product Developer’s role is critical in translating design intent into high-quality, manufacturable products to achieve the product and business objectives for the Exclusive Brands.

Our Next Product Developer Will:

  • Participate in general EB product planning, seasonal needs assessments, and reviews of new product or category ideas.
  • Be responsible for assigned product(s) from finalized design hand-off through to successful bulk production and delivery.
  • Communicate daily with assigned vendors to ensure schedules are met, product specifications are accurately executed, and strong vendor-partner relationships are fostered.
  • Maintain and organize all product information and files, including technical specifications, factory communication, sample reviews, comments, approvals, and costing.
  • Oversee prototype reviews for assigned products, documenting, photographing, and creating detailed review documents for vendor submission, based on design team input and product specifications.
  • Coordinate and track comments on new product concept design and development reviews.
  • Monitor the status of all in-process development prototypes and samples, ensuring adherence to design and quality standards.
  • Update, catalog, and maintain all running trims, accessories, and packaging programs.
  • Organize the EB sample and prototype storage area.
  • Provide weekly (or as needed) updates on project, product, and development status.
  • Travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally, to work with vendors and manufacturing partners.

Qualifications

Our Next Product Developer Has:

  • 3 years of experience in a related product development or production coordination role.
  • Effective and consistent communication skills, capable of building strong relationships with both internal design teams and external manufacturing partners.
  • An extremely detail- and accuracy-oriented approach with a strong focus on deadlines, tasks, and deliverables.
  • Experience in textiles, apparel, and accessory construction methods, manufacturing processes, and technical solutions.
  • Experience in offshore and domestic manufacturing.
  • A positive and flexible, "can-do" attitude with outside-the-box thinking. Dynamic analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent discretion, judgment, tact, and diplomacy skills.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PPT, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Acrobat, etc.), and Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, GMeet, etc.).
