Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage purchasing strategies including contracts, standing orders, and vendor stocking arrangements.
• Oversee contract reviews and ensure optimal participation in GPO agreements to maximize cost savings and compliance.
• Ensure accuracy in purchasing documentation (invoices, POs, packing slips) and manage vendor returns and discrepancies.
• Maintain expertise in GPO programs and monitor procurement practices to ensure contract and tier compliance.
• Support product safety recalls and ensure regulatory compliance across purchasing, inventory, and distribution operations.
• Maintain and monitor patient supply distribution systems to ensure availability and proper charge application.
• Lead ERP system testing for supply chain changes and maintain accurate purchasing and equipment records.
• Guide departments in supply standardization and procurement; conduct product research and vendor evaluations.
• Serve as the primary liaison with vendors and purchasing organizations.
• Train and supervise supply chain staff to promote efficiency and excellent customer service.
• Ensure supply selections prioritize employee and patient safety.
• Maintain integrity of supply data systems and oversee receiving processes for all deliveries.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to procure needed supplies and equipment in a timely, cost-effective manner.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Purchasing, Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field is required. Master degree in related area of study preferred.
2. Previous experience in a high-level supervisory capacity in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Materials Management, specifically in the healthcare industry, is preferred.
