Summary of Role

GlobalFoundries' Fab 9 (Essex, VT) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Site Services Facilities Technician. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and executing preventive and corrective maintenance across the GlobalFoundries Essex and Williston campuses, while also leading projects related to campus improvements. The role includes oversight of daily operations, task delegation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality facilities support. This position reports to the Northeast Site Services Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities across multiple facilities.

Assign tasks and provide guidance to technicians to ensure timely and effective completion of work.

Ensure all work is performed in compliance with FAB9 EHS&S policies and procedures.

Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations and urgent maintenance issues.

Collaborate with engineering, operations, and EHS teams to support site-wide initiatives.

Oversee training and onboarding of new team members.

Monitor and report on maintenance KPIs and continuous improvement efforts.

Support planning and execution of facility upgrades and improvement projects.

Essential Physical Requirements

(Must be able to perform these functions with or without accommodation):

Stand and walk on uneven surfaces for more than 85% of an 8-hour shift.

Lift, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds periodically (two-person lift for heavier items).

Use hand tools and perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and crawling.

Work in cleanroom environments and wear required PPE, including respirators, for extended periods.

Required Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 3 years in facilities maintenance (e.g., HVAC, electrical, mechanical, building systems), with demonstrated leadership or coordination experience.

Skills:

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer navigation.

Ability to work flexible shifts and respond to off-hours emergencies.

Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and safety compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in a semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environment.

Familiarity with the Essex and Williston campuses.

Proven ability to lead teams and drive continuous improvement.

Expected Salary Range

$46,400.00 - $80,100.00
