Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking an HVAC tech to join our team. Serve as the expert resource for all HVAC functions. Ensure HVAC systems are maintained in compliance with all applicable regulatory bodies. Maintain all required testing, maintenance and certification records for inspection as needed. Serve as the resource for construction to contractors, the Plant Manager, and the architects. Collaborate with other hospital departments to meet the needs of our patient, visitors, and colleagues. Assists the affiliate's with compliance of the environment of care management plans.

Position Specifics:
• Schedule: Full time, 40 hrs/wk, Monday-Friday, on call rotation
• Location: On-site at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, O'Fallon, IL
• Compensation that aligns with your experience


Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or related vocational training is required
  • Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Systems, or HVAC Refrigeration is preferred.

Experience Qualifications

  • Three years of Facilities Maintenance experience is required.
  • Five years hospital facilities maintenance is preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of working areas of Mechanical Systems, specifically Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Systems and Mechanical Systems within the field of Maintenance/Plant Operations is desired.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

  • Refrigerant Handling Technician is required.
  • Freon Handling Certificate is required.
  • Valid state driver’s license and must be insurable to operate hospital vehicles is preferred.
  • Plumbing License is preferred.
  • ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Certificate – Preferred

Pay Range:

$25.53 - $38.29

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.
