About This Opportunity
As a Senior Research Projects Officer, you will play a key role in supporting and delivering high-quality research projects and initiatives. Working alongside experienced researchers, you'll contribute to all aspects of research design, coordination, and output, helping to drive advancements in skin cancer prevention, diagnosis, and care.
Key responsibilities will include:
Coordinate and support the delivery of complex, multi-site research studies, ensuring compliance with ethics protocols and research standards.
Contribute to research outputs, including literature reviews, data analysis, and co-authorship of publications, reports, and grant applications.
Assist in quality assurance activities and the continuous improvement of research processes in collaboration with senior research staff.
This is a full-time (100%), fixed-term position through until 31st December 2026 at HEW Level 7.
About You
Postgraduate qualification in Public Health, with a strong foundation in research principles and public health practice.
Demonstrated expertise in navigating hospital ethics and governance processes, including the preparation and submission of ethics applications.
Advanced knowledge of qualitative research methodologies, with hands-on experience in conducting and analysing interviews and focus groups.
Proven experience in skin cancer research, including coordination of multi-site clinical trials, particularly within regional and rural healthcare settings.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of producing clear, concise research documentation and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams across clinical, research, and scientific domains.
You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply. Employer sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment. The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia and mandatory immunisations.
