About This Opportunity  

Our School of Psychology is one of the most prestigious schools of psychology in Australia, with a thriving and dynamic research profile in Cognitive and Computational Psychology. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and work on projects examining the neural basis of cognitive control as well as brain stimulation, cognitive training and neurofeedback interventions to enhance cognitive control performance in applied settings. Key responsibilities will include:  

  • Research: Support large-scale cognitive neuroscience research on brain stimulation, imaging, neurofeedback and neuropharmacology; develop a coherent research program and an emerging research profile; publish in reputable journals and utilise best practice research methodologies.

  • Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise students and provide performance feedback, coaching and training to research support staff. 

  • Citizenship and Service: Begin to develop partnerships by cultivating networks; engage in internal service activities; provide support to colleagues and uphold university values.

About You 

  • Completion or near completion of a PhD in Psychology or Cognitive Neuroscience.

  • Experience in large-scale cognitive neuroscience research: brain stimulation, imaging, neuropharmacology, multi-session protocols.

  • Evidence of research in cognitive control.

  • Evidence of extensive experience with open science.

  • Evidence of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.

  • Demonstrated experience working with research students.
