The Supervisor, IT Governance, is responsible for overseeing the implementation and adherence to IT
governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational goals, regulatory
requirements, and industry best practices. This role involves managing IT risk, compliance, and control
activities, and coordinating between IT teams and business units to maintain effective governance across IT
processes.
Primary Duties
· Lead and supervise the IT Governance team to ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and
regulatory requirements.
· Develop, implement, and monitor IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001) and best
practices across the organization.
· Manage IT risk assessments and control activities, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in
place.
· Coordinate with internal audit and external regulators on IT governance-related reviews and audits.
· Ensure documentation of IT governance processes, policies, and controls are maintained and updated
regularly.
· Facilitate IT governance meetings and reporting to senior management on governance metrics,
compliance status, and risk issues.
· Collaborate with IT and business units to embed governance principles in project management, system
development, and operational processes.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to IT governance processes and controls.
· Provide training and awareness programs on IT governance, risk management, and compliance for IT
staff and relevant stakeholders.
· Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related
field.
· Professional certifications such as COBIT, CISA, CGEIT, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor
preferred.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT governance, risk management, compliance, or audit roles.
· Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks, risk management principles, and compliance
requirements.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. · Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Essential Mental and Physical Functions:
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
· Ability to process, analyze, problem solve, plan and manage projects and deliverables.
· Ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively.
· Visual, auditory, and computer usage skills.
Work Environment:
Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office environment.
· Incumbent may visit manufacturing plants and warehouses with potential exposure to climate, dust,
chemical fumes, noise, and forklift traffic.
