Manager, Product Applications Engineering – ATE Business Unit

Lead innovation and drive execution in Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) at Analog Devices! As Manager, Product Applications Engineering, you will lead a team to deliver advanced solutions for ADI’s ATE portfolio. You’ll set the strategic direction while remaining actively involved in technical problem-solving and execution. You’ll drive technical excellence, mentor engineers, and ensure the successful integration of ADI products into customer applications. This role uniquely combines hands-on technical execution, strategic leadership, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively seek opportunities and support career progression for team members—including mentoring, skills development, and exposure to new challenges—to build a sustainable, high-performing applications engineering team
  • Execute technical tasks and projects as part of ongoing technical development, ensuring hands-on guidance for the team
  • Contribute to new product definitions that deliver differentiated customer value
  • Act as customer liaison, gathering insights through customer visits and engagements to verify product concepts, identify problems worth solving, and provide application technical support
  • Provide support in converting the pipeline of opportunities—partnering with sales, marketing, and technical teams to turn potential leads and customer engagements into successful design wins and business growth
  • Develop, deliver, and maintain technical training materials and collateral—including demos, webinars, datasheets, evaluation boards, simulation tools, application notes, FAQs, and other resources—to support field teams, customers, and go-to-market/post-release activities
  • Collaborate closely with Failure Analysis, Product Applications, Design Engineering, Field Application Engineers (FAEs), Marketing, and other internal teams to deliver integrated solutions and ensure alignment with customer needs
  • Assess and propose CAPEX equipment purchases to support business and technical needs
  • Remove barriers to execution by proactively identifying issues and driving resolution
  • Utilize tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar to monitor, analyze, and improve team KPIs

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong technical foundation in electronics, semiconductor, or related fields; experience with ATE (Pin Electronics, DPS, PMU, Switches, Multiplexers) is an advantage
  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn ATE concepts and tools as needed
  • Proven leadership experience, including mentoring, coaching, and building high-performing teams
  • Experience in product applications, test engineering, or related roles within the semiconductor industry
  • Experience in customer engagement and technical support
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive alignment across teams
  • Hands-on technical expertise, with a passion for continuous learning and development
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • At least 9 years of relevant experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or mentoring role

Work Arrangement and Travel:
This role offers a hybrid work setup, combining onsite and remote work. Occasional domestic and international travel is expected for customer visits, technical conferences, and team engagements.
