Description
The Manufacturing Technician I will support day-to-day production of electronic displays and controllers by performing a variety of tasks including equipment operation, inspection, troubleshooting, and documentation. This is an entry-level, hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and a commitment to quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Looking for highly motivated people who love to learn.
This is a Safety Sensitive Position.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Perform work in accordance with standard procedures, specifications, and test instructions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, software solutions, mechanical and electrical engineering to support day-to-day production and root cause activities.
- Serve as the “First Line of Defense” for production by troubleshooting production issues with an extreme sense of urgency, escalating issues as needed.
- Self-check work after completion using precision measuring instruments to ensure it is complete per drawing/work instructions.
- Conduct root cause analysis of defective electronics, electrical, and mechanical systems and support corrective actions activities to address those quality issues.
- Provide maintenance support to assigned production lines by maintaining equipment and machinery and perform preventive maintenance as required.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and policies.
Qualifications
Education
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e., GED)
Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing, assembly, repair experience, or technical training.
- Comfortable with the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Able to triage electronics that may have an electrical or mechanical issue.
- The willingness and ability to learn and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Experience interpreting technical documents, electronic schematics, engineering drawings, and wiring lists (preferred).
- Strong soldering and/or wiring skills (preferred).
